Daimler FleetBoard GmbH was established in 2003 as a 100 percent subsidiary of Daimler AG and benefits from Daimler’s many years of extensive experience in the truck industry and their information technology know-how. The company is DEKRA (German Vehicle Inspection Agency) certified and has equipped in excess of 55,000 trucks in more than 1,200 forwarding companies since the FleetBoard services were launched in 2000 (status: December 2009).

Professional installation of the FleetBoard Hardware is carried out by the installation team at the company’s own facilities on the factory site in Wörth or at the customers’ premises. In addition to this, FleetBoard has its own sales and distribution company in the UK, Daimler FleetBoard UK Ltd, and its own dedicated FleetBoard sales representatives operating in Germany, the UK, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, the Middle East, South Africa and Brazil offering customers telematics expertise, advisory services and support. The Daimler organisational network also enables services to be provided at a local level in many other countries.
FleetBoard currently employs more than 140 staff worldwide (status: December 2009), whose overriding priority is to work on the further development of sustainable solutions for the everyday business of transport companies and logistics firms.
