The new FleetBoard Logistics Management enables dispatchers to flexibly plan orders. The FleetBoard developers have placed particular value on a modern, ergonomic user interface. A status workflow that can be individually configured for the transportation task and helps the drivers record information on the order, trip and loads. This information can be sent to a logistics, incoming goods or ERP system for recalculation.
In the new FleetBoard Mapping, trips can be tracked in detail - even in border areas and inner city traffic. Satellite images help quickly visualise the vehicle position and the route taken. This is based on significantly improved and faster position updates.
For the IAA Commercial Vehicle show, FleetBoard has expanded it’s range of hardware devices for the driver cab with the introduction of the DispoPilot.guide. The new device, with its large 7" screen (17.8 cm) offers an inexpensive way to access the world of professional logistics management. This integrates the latest navigation software with truck attributes and additional functions such as track assistant and the consideration of hazardous goods transports when planning the trip.
Furthermore, the FleetBoard telematic services for Mercedes-Benz vans will be available from the factory. In the past, the telematic system could only be retrofitted to the Sprinter. This can reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emmissions by up to 20%.
10 Years FleetBoard – The Formula for Your Success
The introduction of a telematics solution by Daimler dates back to a
research project carried out in the 1980s. At that time, the objective was
to increase the maintenance intervals of utility vehicles. At the IAA 2000,
Mercedes-Benz presented their first own system able to transmit detailed
vehicle and driver data from the vehicle. 10 years after its market
introduction, the FleetBoard concept has proven to be successful. With the
status of today, more than 60,000 utility vehicles in approximately 1,300
European haulage companies have been equipped with FleetBoard. Besides
saving plenty of fuel and profiting from the automation of their logistics
processes, these vehicles significantly reduce the CO2 emissions. Due to
their equipment with FleetBoard, they have contributed to the fact that
174,000 tons of CO2 were saved in 2009. The economy calculations of
customers show that it is possible to save up to Euro 6,500 and 6,000 kg of
CO2 per vehicle and year. Long-term customers experience considerable
savings in maintenance and repair costs. External examination institutes
such as the DEKRA attest the first-class FleetBoard quality through
certification of products and processes. And we will again put forth
vigorous effort this year to live up to our slogan “We do everything for

FleetBoard WebServices permit the integration of the FleetBoard telematics
services into the proprietary software of your haulage company. The
documentation of this system interface was so far provided as PDF file.
From now on, this information is available in an online portal where
connectors and customers can register free of charge. Major advantages of
the online documentation are permanent availability, clear information
structure and always up-to-date contents. This ensures that technical
descriptions can be found and read easily.
