Initial Installation and Login

To install Fleetboard Cockpit on your computer, please proceed as follows:

1.	Enter the address www.fleetboard.com into the address line of your browser.

This will call up the Fleetboard Website.

2.	Log on using your access data.

NOTE	You will receive your personal access data from your Fleetboard administrator when purchasing Fleetboard Cockpit.

You will then get to the start-up page of the Fleetboard Web GUI.

Follow the instructions given here to install Fleetboard Cockpit.

After the successful installation, you will find an automatically created link to Fleetboard Cockpit on your desktop.

3.	You can start the Fleetboard Client by double-clicking on the Fleetboard Cockpit icon. This may take some minutes.

The Settings dialogue box is opened.

NOTE	If the Settings dialogue box is not opened automatically, click on the button in the login window in order to open the window.

NOTE	Prior to the first log-on, it is mandatory to check the settings

4.	Activate the encryption by ticking the Encryption checkbox.

The following settings depend on your network configuration:

5.	If you are not using proxies, tick the Do not use proxy checkbox.

6.	If you are using a proxy, you should consult your IT systems administrator or have the settings checked by him.

Host

Specify the proxy server, e.g. proxy.customer.com

g

Port

Specify the proxy server port, e.g. 8080.

g	Use proxy settings of the browser

Check this option if you want to use the proxy settings of the browser.

g	Use PAC file for proxy settings

Ask your system administrator whether you should tick this box.

g	PAC file directory

Here, have the settings made exclusively by your system administrator.

g	Authentication

Specify whether the proxy server requires authentication. Check this option if the proxy server requires authentication.

g

User name

Enter the user name on the proxy server.

g

Password

Enter the password for the proxy server.

g	Configuration directory

Here, have the settings made exclusively by your system administrator.

7.	Specify the Log level on which the logging is to be performed. In this case, the INFO log level is the default setting which you should only change upon instruction by the Fleetboard Support.

8.	Under Locale, select the desired language for the user interface.

Click OK.

NOTE	If you have changed the preset language under Locale, you have to exit Fleetboard Cockpit and restart it. The new language will only be displayed in the user interface after performing these steps.

The Settings dialogue box will be closed.

Now, you have installed Fleetboard Cockpit on your computer. A log-in dialogue box will be opened subsequently.

You can now log in, as described in Section Starting Fleetboard Cockpit.
